Heinrich Hertz in 1887 observed Photoelectric effect and study its various property. Afterward many other renowned scientist including Robert Andrews Millikan , J.J Thomson   also made rigorous research about the event. But the study of photoelectric effect shows many characteristics which can't be explained by the Theories and ideas of Light available at that moment. It was until 1905, The famous Physicist Albert Einstein explain the paradox of Photoelectric effect with help of his new idea of light quanta (Quantum Theory of Light) and for this he was awarded Nobel Prize in 1921.
